I agree Sam, you cannot understand why anyone would do this. Luckily my son was with some friends who got him home, but I don't know what might of happened if he was on his own. He was in no fit state to know where he was, let alone get him self home.It needs to be sorted.

I know its scarry, hope you son is ok and hasnt effected him too badly. best advice to any young drinker is buy it yourself and dont leave it unattended, but at 18 you dont think like that. worst thing is this could be a lot worse yours and lizzies son have been lucky.re: WARNING Buzz bar
A couple we flew with experienced a lot of trouble caused by dodgy drinks being served in the Buzz Bar. She was very ill, way more ill than you'd expect to be after a couple of cocktails. Doctor was immediately called to the hotel and she was gladly safe and well after a couple of days.Avoid the Buzz Bar, there's plenty of better establishments who won't steal from you and serve you drinks not fit for consumption.

Ross you will have a hard job checking out the Buzz bar whilst you are in pamps as it's in Boro. If you have had a drink spiked you must know its a very frightening experience and not something to joke about and look on as an easy way to get out of it. This is serious and rather than go looking for the place if you had any sense you would avoid it like the plague.Sorry guys rant over

Hey snowplowqueen,i have to say it's a awful thing to happen but sadly as Ross pointed out,it's the age we live in..
A good friend of mine got spiked recently with ketemen which is a horse traqualiser!!! He is 51 yrs old..
I guess the differance is in this country you wouldn't expect the barman to do it...
I'm sure the problem in Borovets is the buzz bar and the black tiger are owned and run by the local mafia,i was warned about the hooky local alchol they serve 3yrs ago and thought ...

Drank in the buzz bar last year and it was a strange atmosphere. A lot of dodgy looking locals. This year i didnt go in there as my cousin had gone in there 3 weeks before and had seen a huge knife on the floor that someone had dropped, which was picked up and hidden again. Stick to chillis, cant go wrong, great bar staff.

Its a shocking series of events by any account, personally ive never been a fan of the Buzz bar, i agree with what tiger said about the cheap booze. Ive been extremely ill before from drinking cheap local vodka, however i know i will be keeping a close eye on my drinks when im out there on the 8th just incase someone tries to spike them, I guess you cant be too careful these days.re: WARNING Buzz bar
