Hi Galina
I have posted twice on this thread as Teacher 2 and will be writing more. Frankly I'm very annoyed with those in charge of Pamporovo. Over the last 17 years I have seen a resort I love destroyed by money grabbing apes who only see Pamporovo as a source of Golden Eggs and I can tell you now the goose is all but cooked!
I will upload a web site in the next few days with initial findings and suggestions drawn from as many interested parties as I can and post the address on Bulgariaski. It will include an e-mail address for people to forward reports and suggestions. It is for friends of Pamporovo and I can assure you you need all the friends you can get. Even Pamporovo Pete can't gloss over the cracks that have become chasms!
I hope to God you can persuade the Neanderthals and 'mafia' running things to listen to all of those who have contributed so far to this thread, because if you don't Pamporovo is on its way out. Neil Rodgers above is right! 25 years ago those involved in Pamporovo had a vision that enabled the resort to grow. In recent years the old instructors and wise men have been replaced with money grabbing idiots in sharp suits and no amount of spin can hide the rip off culture that has grown like a cancer in the resort.
Added by Admin. - I do not gloss over ANYTHING, other than my front door! Pete
My only complaint is and ever has been the very high prices charged on the mountain - clearly there is no need for the prices to be so high and if they were lower people would actually spend more because they would buy more
Galia - see you in February!
As I said on another thread I suggest that, rather than simply walking away, if people really wish try and see things changed (or returned to how it was) in Pamporovo it would be more beneficial to make them known to Galina.
Good post Galina and I hope to meet up with you soon. If I can help in any way please let me know.
Hi Galya,
I will tell ya after or even during holiday in Pamps, what should/could be changed - as I won't build my opinion on photos and subjective comments in this forum only.
It's a pitty that there is lack of snow - but i can't make anybody in Pamps accountable for that.
Yes - the prices obviously increased - but this seems to be the case everywhere and a big part of this is called inflation - just a normal thing.
The weakness of the British Pound is for sure very unpleasant for ...

Yes - the prices obviously increased - but this seems to be the case everywhere and a big part of this is called inflation - just a normal thing.
The weakness of the British Pound is for sure very unpleasant for British guests - but the blame can't go to people in Pamps either.
BUT - if it's really true, that slopes are not cleared and ready for the snow with start of winter season, then somebody in Pamps is obviously not interested anymore in tourist business.
Everything should be done - to get as many slopes workable as possible, and I am sure many guests are able to see, whether runs can't be open or somebody just don't want them open !
There are different pros and contras to go to Pamps and all of us have probably specific reasons, but we all want fun on slopes - some as beginners only, but often accompanied by fairly good skiers, who doesn't want to do the green run day in and day out.
Therefore the efforts to run the ski area is by far most important for me.
Take care and yes - probably we still bring chocolade 2 U
Just to let everybody know that your comments this tread on the discussion board are read the person who asked for it and the e-mails I get are forwarded as well.
Let's keep this going Arron. The more opinions and suggestions the merrier. If, as Galina says, the person who asked for them takes them seriously and into consideration then we could all benefit from this.
Nothing else but use more snow cannons. As far as I can see the temperatures are below zero for more than 2 weeks (may be more), but still only 2 runs are open
I've skiing for 2 years in South Korea and they made excellent slopes with cannons when all hills around were green. So do the same pls!
