Nick, i do feel as if you think your talking to an idiot.
Just because i wish to make plans to return to BG at some point in the future, and you obviously had a bad time when you were there, does not make me an idiot.
My experience of Boro was that of fun and one which i will not forget. I am quite sure that Courchevel, Whistler and Banff are going to be better resorts but that does not mean that i will enjoy myself anymore than i did in Boro.
For expert skiiers i am quite sure there is a massive difference but for me just starting out it was great.
Yes we did lose one days skiing at the end of the week, but honestly by then i was that shattered it wasn't the end of the world.
I will continue to learn to ski because i had such fun doing it. So really BG can't be that bad, can it!!!!

Debbie, i'm sorry you feel like an idiot after reading my comments, that was not my intention.

By your own accounts, you described borovets (the place) as pretty average. Like you, i also had a lot of fun whilst there. Drinking, skiing (some of the time) and having a laugh with friends and other great people. That has nothing to do with borovets (the place) though. I can do that anywhere, and it costs nothing!

However, for me, a big part of my skiing holiday (and a big part of the financial outlay) is the place: how much skiing can i do? do the lifts work? are the ski instructors good? is the equipment good? etc. And for me (and i think a lot of others), borovets did not deliver.

I can still have a great time socialising with friends and make new friends anywhere i go. next time, i'm sad to say, it won't be bulgaria.
