re: Brilliant - Borovets

The thing I find frustrating is that there is obviously a lot of money being spent there by tourists ..even more it seems now prices are hiked..but it doesnt seem any is being spent on improving anything
The equipment I used was ancient and battered (rear entry boots with paper thin linings that smelt pretty bad! and skis with rusty edges and badly scored undersides) the gondola ..God bless it! is still grinding away somehow .. I did have a good time trying to ski and didnt expect things ...

I did have a good time trying to ski and didnt expect things to be as good as other resorts. But there must be a lot of money washing around and not being re-invested hmm.. I read that Emil Kyulev ,the man behind Super Borovets was murdered in 2005 two years after the owner of Borosport met his end.. maybe theres people who dont want change there and like things as they are.... Shame its a nice place in many ways, but other resorts look more attractive now they are coming into the same price range...

Nick, i don't think that a little banter hurts anyone.
Especially when a discussion gets quite heated, actually helps to calm it down a little.
They're making me chuckle anyway Very Happy

ok " life and soul"
all i can gather from you is you didn't like it.
youve met and made some good friends
and that i would rather watch paint dry
than be in your company,
but didn't someone say you are entitled to your own opinion

re: Brilliant - Borovets

good point well made scapula. I wasn't aware of the murders you described. puts a rather uncomfortable light on the whole thing doesn't it.

Like i said earlier, something is not right in borovets. They just don't seen switched on, or have other agendas.
