We came back form Boro on saturday. Had a fab time even though fell on the ice ( had ski's on, thats the problem) Learnt to ski with in bulgaria 8 years ago with the most patient instructor from the rila, that then went to borosport and we had him ever since. Took a beginner there this year and had a horrid instructor, went to borosports office and seen the boss, he sorted change of instructor within half an hour, no probs. As for health and safety! Took a beginner there this year and had a horrid instructor, went to borosports office and seen the boss, he sorted change of instructor within half an hour, no probs. As for health and safety! When ever I go to any country I except it for what it is. I do not bring any of my standards from home. It is my choice to visit a country and if I dont like it I will not go again. Ski other countries every year but always go back to see alot of good friends in the pubs and resturants that we have made over the years. Even though the snow was not as brill as other years, still skied every day. roll on next year.
your obviously suffering from
small dick syndrome pete.
you've probably never had a girl on her back before
or maybe she was just laughing at the size of it..............
I can assure you, Peter, that i do not wear rose tint or any other coloured glasses.
I did find faults with Bulgaria which i have posted but not enough to put me off ever going again.
I think that if you dislike somewhere that is your opinion and somebody else may disagree. This does not mean that they are wearing rose tints just that their personal opinions differ from yours.
I agree that nobody should be spoken to in that way but that was 1 instructor not all of them. I found ours to be ...

I agree that nobody should be spoken to in that way but that was 1 instructor not all of them. I found ours to be very polite, friendly and fun at all times.
As a 1st time skiing holiday i couldn't agree or disagree with the lift systems being crap. I just assumed that is how it is.
I did hear lots of bad reports about Borosport school and equipment. One of which came from my Samokov instuctor who had worked for them years ago and left because he felt they wer going down hill!
I don't think that my standards are low but didn't really know what to expect from a ski resort. Because of this i didn't find anything that terrible that would put me ...

Maybe after i have been somewhere else i will notice the difference.
I would love to have praised Borovets to the hilt as much as the people here who think its amazing, as up until Feb 23 this year I thought it was the mutts nutts and couldn't wait to go back.
However, I've been back this year, I didn't enjoy my holiday, I don't think it's unreasonable to be a bit miffed about paying £4 for a choccy bar at the top of the mountain, I am not a skinflint, I CHOSE to go back to BG and I am bitterly disappointed that I seemingly made the wrong ...

However, I've been back this year, I didn't enjoy my holiday, I don't think it's unreasonable to be a bit miffed about paying £4 for a choccy bar at the top of the mountain, I am not a skinflint, I CHOSE to go back to BG and I am bitterly disappointed that I seemingly made the wrong choice this year. Tourists are treated like a nuisance and the place has lost its charm. It's dirty, it's unsafe and I didn't feel safe with my ski instructor at any time during ski school. Maybe I was unlucky but I work hard for my hols and I want to enjoy them, not be bullied, ripped off and put at risk by people putting money before safety.
Tell you what, you are welcome to Borovets and to all those sycophants out there who still think its great - keep it. Your "take it or leave it" attitude is no better than the locals. I agree there is good and bad everywhere but like I say, until a couple of weeks ago I would have been in your corner, saying its marvellous but having experienced the nasty side first hand, it's all yours xx
when you first mentioned it pete you obviously found it funny, now that people have pointed it out to you,
you seem to want to blame it on
"what he said"
You seem to find it funny I find things like that not on at all, but other people here seem to be ok with things like that because its Bulgaria and not the UK
