re: Brilliant - Borovets

Some of these posts are quite incredible and so are the people posting - if you don't like it then go and spend your money elsewhere - Borovets has NEVER looked quite how you describe it Pepe - be it winter or summer- and I have been there in good and bad conditions many times. I really refuse to take on board what you are saying to be honest - there are some negatives this year yes, the costs to eat out are more but the resort itself is far batter than alot in Europe.....I am sure you will ...

Rant over - oh, by the way, have just booked flights for July - no snow but going to a lovely village in the mountains called Borovets!! Wink

re: Brilliant - Borovets

Thanks Lizaloveit - what annoys me is no one place deserves to be slagged off completely - be it Borovets, Pamps or Bansko - there is, I believe, good and bad in most places. The bottom line is that if all these people had had fantastic snow conditions, the vast majority of negative comments would never have been posted. I feel to describe Borovets as they did is totally wrong and unfair....another rant over....anyone going take my advice - enjoy !!!! Very Happy

re: Brilliant - Borovets

I dont think we are moaning about the prices but the overall impression of the resort and the safety issues surrounding the conditions of the pistes and the investment into the resort.
I appreciate that prices have gone up but quality has gone down people just want to make a quick buck and to hell with the consequences

re: Brilliant - Borovets

I am sorry Permatan but what safety issues are you concerned about? What overall impressions? Investment - what are your concerns? Be more specific and we can discuss gladly. This is a forum where we can discuss such issues - what I object to is people slagging resorts off without that discussion - I hope you agree.

I won't repeat what I've already said on other threads, but we will not be going back for the same reasons as stated above.

By all accounts we are lucky to be alive! Read the following two articles from a Bulgarian national paper to see just how much the Bulgarians feel about tourists. SHOCKING!

No one warned us...anyone else been advised of ...
