Hi there, Came here with an open mind first time this year! after reading the blogs. From experience, snow can be crap anywhere but the difference here was it just got so dangerous for the beginners, and know one cared, so long as they earned a lev.
What people need to remember is that skiing is built on the new people who come into it for the first time. The holiday companys build borovets as a good cheap place for them. sorry borovets I think unless you change your attitude over the next ...

Had a good Holiday met some great people but I know I can get better else where, ( Canada Jan 2008 room only for around 450 if i book now)
I Will come back, but only when they invest more, health & safety exsists and the earn a quick lev attitude changes !

Been to pamps twice and boro two weeks ago and i can honestly say i wish i'd gone somewhere else. What, with dangerous pistes and pavements, puddles outside the main hotels so big people were surfing it for a laugh, dirty streets that are used to tip rubbish, dangerous chairlifts and if you don't smoke then forget it.
The town looks nice with a covering of snow but once it thaws (which it did three weeks ago and hasn't had a good covering since) it's a dump ...

I agree that it's cheap, although not by the bulgarian cost of living but that's just not going to be enough to help it survive.
