We are in the same situation as you guys with Woodlands :-( and are of the same opinion that demanding our money back will only lead to bankruptcy where we will lose everything, so it is a case of sitting tight and seeing what happens.
If anyone gets any news regarding Britannia please post!!
Hi,
I wish I stumbled upon this forum earlier,Ive bought 2 apartments in st Davids, went out 12 months ago, been keeping an eye on their wbsite and all seems well.
Britannia aren`t very good at replying to phone calls and getting back to you, which I`m sure we all find very frustrating.
I feel for all going through this time of "Unknown",
If I hear anything about Britannia as a whole I`ll keep you posted
We have received a letter from Britannia last week advising that they are going through a Due Diligence Process, basically trying to source funds from elsewhere.
I have also spoken to them and they are putting together a business programme for the bank so all is not lost yet.
They have also taken on a number of Russian agents, obviously looking for funding from countries not so affected by the crisis. In addition to this they have shows in the near future in Moscow and ...
Hi Lucky7

They have also taken on a number of Russian agents, obviously looking for funding from countries not so affected by the crisis. In addition to this they have shows in the near future in Moscow and are also looking towards getting some Greek agents. There is also the possibility tha they may be working with a Swiss Finance Company. So basically they are not just sitting around and doing nothing but actively trying to source other income.
Where this will leave us eventually, or how long it will take, I dont know but lets just keep our fingers crossed. Paul (Firefighter) have you heard anything?
HI LINDA, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL LAST WEEK STATING THEY WERE PREPARING FURTHER INFORMATION AS PART OF THE DUE DILIGENCE REPORT,WHICH SHOULD BE DONE IN THREE WEEKS FOR THEIR NEXT MEETING,ITS JUST HOPE AND WAIT FOR ANY POSITIVE OUTCOME AT THIS STAGE.THANKS FOR YOUR INFO ,AS YOU SAID THEY ARE ACTIVE IN TRYING TO GAIN FINANCE IN VERY DIFFICULT TIMES,FEELING OPTIMISTIC,PAUL
HI, LINDA,AND OTHER WOODLANDS BUYERS, HAVE YOU HEARD ANY UPDATES FROM BRITANNIA ,ALL SEEMS TO HAVE GONE QUIET, THOUGHT WE SHOULD HAVE HEARD SOMETHING BY NOW,REGARDS .PAUL.
Glad I've just found this forum. My wife & I have bought at St Davids, but more worryingly our son has bought at Woodland Springs and is really worried about his investment as this is his first step onto the property ladder.
Don't know how things work in bulgaria, but when we bought in spain we were told to only buy from builders with a bank guarentee. Basically what this means is if the builder runs out of money the bank will finish the build and you then pay the bank rather thsn the builder the balance out standing and the property is transfered to you. If the builder dosnt have this and cant finish the build basically you loss everything. Might be worth trying to find out if such thing excists in bulgaria and ...

Nice to hear that you have bought in Woodlands Springs
I am in the process of buying in Woodland Springs Phase 2, but at the moment they are on stop, due to euro and not selling any more apartments. Received another letter yet again from Britannia 08.06.09 only to say that no progress has been made, so they will update in a couple of weeks again.
Any update with yourself, "are you just hanging in there, like ourselves".
Come back.
